Lee Westwood Joins The Point Golf
After introduction to THE POINT at the World Golf Championships at Firestone, and routine practice for about three months; Lee has improveed in strokes gained putting from 152nd to 65th on the PGA Tour... he is currently ranked 8th on the 2014-2015 season! This dramatic improvement has lead Lee to go "all in" on THE POINT, and become a full equity partner in THE POINT GOLF.
Introducing THE POINT PRACTICE PUTTER which facilitates precise focused practice ingraining a square, on-center putting stroke thru spaced, repetitive use. THE POINT can provide immediate feedback on potential stroke problems unable to be seen with the human eye; allowing remedial action before an on-course putting disaster occurs.
TRAIN-IT, TARGET-IT, TRUST-IT
TRAIN-IT: Train the stroke to be square and on center of percussion at impact. The focused, precise practice with THE POINT rapidly imbeds the stroke in the practicers “muscle memory”. Practice time is minimized versus training with a putter by the precision and feedback forced by THE POINT. Continued routine practice beyond the mastering of the stroke, known as over-learning; dramatically aids in sustaining stroke performance and forecasts potential degradation of stroke quality.
TARGET-IT: Once the putt has been read, the line of the scribed golf ball is aligned with the desired target path. Finally, align the line on THE POINT or the percussion line on the putter with the scribed line on the ball.
TRUST-IT: The ultimate commitment to both the TRAINING and TARGETING efforts...Get the feel for the speed of the putt by observing the target line from behind the ball. Rehearse the stroke from that location, then move to address position and use the putter alignment aids and percussion line to initiate the stroke directly down the line projected by the scribed ball. DO NOT adjust the scribed ball and target line once you have addressed the ball...TRUST both your stroke and target line!
Now comes with an adaptor : An easy on and off adaptor which offers a larger striking surface (3/8") allowing for "phased in" precision down to the 1/8" striking area. The adaptor enables more rapid positive feedback for juniors and higer handicappers without sacrificing the integrity of the 5/8" effective sweet-spot found in today's high MOI putters. In essence, less frustration while perfecting the delivery of a square and centered putter-face at impact. For players who are having success on short and medium range putts but are finding the longer "lag" putts challenging, the adaptor provides a more forgiving striking area. Again, facilitating "phased in" precision in 1/8".
